Arsene Wenger expecting Arshavin and Fabregas stay
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said he hopes to keep Russia's Andrei Arshavin before the next season, despite reports linking him with a departure from the club.
Arshavin has struggled to impress at the Emirates this season with Zenit St Petersburg to admit that would welcome their former star - worth £ 15 million - with open arms, either to leave in the summer.
With Wenger need to improve your team if Arsenal are to break their trophy drought for six years of 2011-12, many suggested that Arshavin would be used to raise funds for the newcomers.
However, the same day the French leader has insisted the club will not part with captain Cesc Fabregas, and he was very optimistic about Arshavin, Arsenal TV saying, "Yes, I hope Arsenal next season."
Wenger has already begun thinking about his transfer targets and is confident that Arsenal remains an attractive prospect because of the nature of football they play.
"If you talk about the quality of the club and the style of football we play, we have many offers on the table for players who are desperate to join us, "he said. "[But] if you do not speak that money, they are certainly less attractive than other teams. "
