Chelsea step towards the Premier League title
After win 2-0 against Liverpool at Anfield Chelsea took a huge step towards the Premier League title this season.
The Reds Liverpool started the game well but were stunned when The Captain Steven Gerrard played a terrible backpass- let Didier Drogba through on goal and gave Chelsea the lead. Conspiracy theorists will have their thoughts as many The Reds fans had wanted Chelsea to win to stop rivals Manchester United claiming the title but, on the pitch, the Blues were much the better side.

Chelsea forward  Salomon Kalou should have had a penalty when he appeared to be tripped by Lucas just before the break, but referee Alan Wiley waved away the claims, much to the annoyance of Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti.
He didn't have to wait long for the game to be made safe, though, as Nicolas Anelka crossed well for Frank Lampard to bundle the ball between Pepe Reina's legs. Liverpool offered little by way of resistance and Chelsea held their lead.
Fulham's marvellous season continued with a comfortable 3-2 home win over West Ham. Clint Dempsey opened the scoring on the stroke of half-time and an own goal by Carlton Cole put them 2-0 ahead shortly after the re-start.
Cole redeemed himself when he headed West Ham back into the game but Fulham substitute Stefano Okaka made it 3-1 to Fulham in the 79th minute. West Ham substitute Guillermo Franco scored an injury-time goal for the visitors but it was to no avail.
They will be forced to play until the final day of the season though as Manchester United beat Sunderland 1-0 in the day's late game.
Nani drilled a low shot into the net in a fairly uneventful game in which Dimitar Berbatov - paired alongside Wayne Rooney up front - failed to impress yet again. But it was the result that mattered for United and they cut Chelsea's lead to one point with one final day of action remaining. Both teams are at home as Chelsea take on Wigan next weekend, while United face Stoke.
