Guy Demel claims AC Milan interest
Ivory Coast international and Hamburg defender Guy Demel claims he is wanted by Rossoneri AC Milan , Sunderland also one other English club.
"I know about the interest (from Sunderland),'' Guy Demel, who is currently at the 2010 African Nations Cup in Angola, said in an interview with the Hamburger Morgenpost newspaper. "I also know that AC Milan and another English club would like to sign me.
"But, I am still a Hamburg player. I have felt very content in all my years in Hamburg and continue to be part of this team.''
Asked how much longer he would be at Hamburg, Guy Demel replied: "That I don't know. First Hamburg have to sort things out with Sunderland. Before that I can not negotiate anything. Hamburg know that an offer will soon come.''
Guy Demel joined Hamburg in 2005 from Borussia Dortmund, having spent a year with Arsenal in 2000-01.
He added: "If the club should really decide to let me go, then it is also perhaps the time to go. It is difficult at the moment to sort everything out on the telephone. I am first and foremost concentrating on the African Nations Cup. After that we will see what happens.''
